Recent projects include the Learning and Skills Council (www.lsc.gov.uk); The Information Authority (www.theia.org.uk); and the Directgov initiative called NextStep (nextstep.direct.gov.uk).

Joe held various project management and consulting positions with Faber Maunsell, a major international consulting firm, specialising in applying new cutting edge technology to transportation for the public sector (commonly known as Intelligent Transport Systems). He also played a major role as branding advisor for a number of Public Initiatives for the European Commission, Department for Transport and the Highways Agency.

Joe has been the Principal Designer in many projects commissioned by the European Commission including the branding for the EC STREETWISE Initiative; and the XCIS (Cross Channel Information Services) Initiative. Joe’s other branding advisory role includes the EC OTAP Initiation and the EC Long Distance Corridors Initiative.

Other recent involvements include being part of the GALILEO Consortium that incorporates partners in France and Austria. This involved studying and gauging the existing market forecasts and projections concerning the penetration of GALILEO services and European Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) in the ITS market.

Joe graduated with a MEng(Hons) and a MA(Hons) from Cambridge University.
