• Recruited and managed a team of 4 permanent plus 4 outsourced personnel.
• Reported to and gained confidence of directors of the joint venture board.
• Set up corrective actions log and used this to ensure all actions were implemented.
• Discovered £9.5m overcharges by four contractors in a complex assignment across several sites using SAP then led a team to recover this money.
• Uncovered multi-site workforce fraud costing £2m per annum. Worked with management to implement controls and measured resulting decline in fraud.
• Uncovered £600k pa bank interest diverted by joint venture partner.
• Treasury control breaches including £41m excess deposit identified and stopped.
• Discovered £400k duplicated supplier payments. All recovered.
• Oversaw implementation of new Ellipse ERP finance and assets systems, and Oracle HR system. All successfully implemented on time & on budget.
