| I am an excellent all-round communicator with a love of writing. I am passionate about designing and implementing effective communications strategies, projects and products. With more than eight years of experience in communications, promotions, and marketing roles with Oxfam GB, I have recently set up a communications consultancy, project management and copywriting business, focussing on working in partnership with organisations pursing goals in relation to social justice, education and/or poverty-reduction in the UK and around the world. |

· Employing relevant communications strategies (distribution mechanisms, media and tone or ‘voice’) according to audience needs,
· Writing and project-managing promotional material on and off-line, including: writing and liasing with designers to produce flyers, writing copy for the web, writing reports for publication, inputting to government consultations, and writing press releases,
· Project management of the production, distribution and promotion of the 124+pp Oxfam Catalogue for Schools,
· Monitoring results and adjusting plans accordingly,
· Being a spokesperson for the Education Programme,
· Selecting, planning and attending national education conferences and exhibitions,
· Reacting to external events through press releases and briefing journalists,
· Proactively preparing offers of content for press and TV use.

Researcher and Writer
University College of St Mark and St John, PlymouthI compiled an annotated bibliography as the first stage of a project looking at young people in difficult circumstances, including child soldiers. I also participated in qualitative research into the outcome of a Theatre in Education project designed to discourage children from joy-riding. I conducted informal interviews with young people involved in the project; co-wrote, edited and proofed the final report and a published article summarising the findings.
