EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

Sept 2001 - PresentInnogy Technical Support Group.

Providing technical solutions for running plant at power stations. Handling work which comes in to the workshops from various Innogy power stations and third party organisations. Examine components which come into the workshops and assess its condition and produce a work-scope for renovation.

Work will be varied from strip down and refurbishment to reverse engineering and re-build. A sound knowledge of material selection, from simple steel to the more exotic types like inconel and ultimate alloys. Experience has given me the opportunity to see practical application of Engineering principals.

A project manager for the refurbishment of the last stage blades on Low Pressure (LP) turbines. Manage a budget of £450K. Liasing with Innogy staff as well as external contractors. Required to be pro-active in my role as project manger and decisive when considering alternative actions in order for the project to run efficiently and not over-run.

Sept 1996 - Jun 2001 K2 Communications Manchester, (part-time)

Telecommunication shop. Sold mobile and DECT phones to the general public and traders. Duties

include computerisation control of stock levels, customer interaction, large sums of cash handling

and being left unsupervised and responsible of the business.

(Jun 1999 - Sept 1999) Uppingham Road Hardware and DIY Leicester, (full-time)

The acquisition of an ongoing concern hardware shop. A family business, which required reorganisation and stocking. Built up a sound rapport with the suppliers as new business owners over the three months with the company. Responsibilities were reconciliation of the till at the end of the day and order picking for customers.

The environment was competitive and challenging, which made it very interesting working there.
