| ▪ Directed the service delivery side of the company’s business (operations, resourcing, outsourcing, off-shoring) including the successful delivery of all projects, to agreed timescales and budgets, and maintained full control of all external project costs within annual budgetary limits. Also responsible for company premises, and (in tandem with another Director) IT strategy and implementation. ▪ Provided consultancy for the review and improvement of process management practice in a very large organization, and the subsequent implementation of Control 2007 process management software. ▪ Established project management best practice for Apex Interactive (designer and developer of bespoke e-learning) and defined (as part of a self-managed team) the multimedia design and development process for Global Knowledge. ▪ Project managed numerous projects of various types, including: 14 hours of e-learning, with code development off-shored to India, for a global leader in wireless, broadband and automotive communications technologies; contributed significantly to the design design and development of situational judgement tests for on-line delivery on behalf of an international medical technology company software development of tools for automatic marking of situational judgement tests using the M-L model (paper-based and on-line) for the largest quoted residential property owner in the UK, multiple projects ranging from complex scenario-based e-learning programmes through consulting / analysis projects to ILT design and delivery the design and development of internet/intranet-delivered application training, sales training, awareness material and engineering information resources. ▪ Developed management and analysis tools including for costing, tracking and managing projects, for first-pass estimating of multimedia solution costs, and for survey analyses. ▪ Provided consultancy on the re-development of Global Knowledge’s UK and Ireland web-sites and to BA on the design and development processes in respect of multimedia training. ▪ Managed Digital Equipment Corporation’s multimedia design and development group cost-centre (1995 to 1997) and the European Business TV Programme Office (1993 to 1994). ▪ Presented as guest speaker at the World Open Learning for Business Conference (1997) on the subject of available technologies for open learning, and at the first UK Business Television User Group conference (1993). |
