Involvement in HAZOPs, operability and maintainability review of process and utility facilities utilising 3D CAD Models and development of the scope of work for production of Operating Procedures Manuals for AGIP KCO's Kashagan Field Development (Kazakhstan).

In addition, establishing the deliverables required for "State Commission Inspection" prior to start-up of Early Works Utility Systems and occupation of Permanent Camp Facilities.

Process Operator Guides Co-ordinator (Principal Technical Author)

Responsible for the development of bilingual (English/Russian) Process Operator Guides (POGs) for new and existing process/utility systems, and infrastructure within the Karachaganak Gas/Condensate Field. Production of early works POGs and co-ordination of documentation contractor producing main works and Export Pipeline POGs. Co-ordination covering the areas of production schedule, resources, quality assurance, budget control, resolving conflicts in source information and POG review/approval.

Prior to processing/export pipeline facilities start-up it was a requirement of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RoK) operational health and safety authority (GazGorTechNadzor - GGTN) to approve the POGs.

In addition, provided technical input to RoK licensing authorities (Intec LLP and NipiNefteGas) to develop Technological Procedures for the individual processing facilities at Karachaganak which were subsequently submitted to GGTN for validation and approval. Thus providing KPObv with the necessary consent permits to start-up the respective processing facilities and export pipeline.

1997 - 1999 Responsible for the verification and updating of the BP Exploration Dimlington onshore gas reception terminal Control of Industrial Major Accident Hazard (CIMAH) Regulations safety report submission to the HSE. In addition, initial studies performed on transition from CIMAH to Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations.

Production of Operating Procedures for West Sole 'B' and 'C' Platforms to encompass the BP Exploration operational philosophy for normally-unattended offshore installations, i.e. the installation of high reliability equipment, thus minimising visits to the platforms.

Responsible for the production of Process Operator Guides for new central processing facilities covering the separation of well fluids, oil treatment (Heater Treater), produced water treatment, gas compression and sweetening (amine) and utility systems applicable to oil/gas processing facilities in the Arctic Circle.

The Process Operator Guides are for use by both English and Russian speaking Operations Technicians; hence the guides are bilingual, with Russian text being provided by Technical Translators.

Development of the Magnus to Ninian Central MOL and Magnus Subsea Well Flowline Emergency and Operating Procedures Manual to incorporate the inclusion of ESDVs as required by SI 1989 No. 1029. Additionally the manual was updated to ensure its compliance with SI 1982 No. 1513 and the respective submarine pipeline guidance notes issue by the DEn Pipelines Inspectorate in October 1984.
