Assistant Site Manager

In May 2005 I was promoted to Assistant Site Manager based at Heysham Sub Station

My Duties include:

· Reporting to the Contracts Manager

· Liasing with the Client on construction issues

· Liasing with sub contractors and suppliers

· Allocating tasks to site staff.

· Attending monthly progress meetings

Over the past few months I have also been working as a supervisor/site manager at weekends on railway projects throughout the North West region.

I began my employment with J. Murphy & Sons as a Document Controller based at Heysham Sub Station .

Duties Included

· Reporting to Site Manager and Contracts Manager

· Dealing with on site correspondence to and from the Client and Sub Contractors

· Updating construction drawing registers and ensuring that all relevant site personnel have correct drawings

· Submitting daily plant & labour allocation sheets to Quantity Surveyor for inclusion in monthly application to client.

· Submitting Technical Queries to client.

· Site Waste Management Respresentative

· Giving Health, Safety & Environmental Induction to all personnel starting on site

· Take part in weekly safety walks with Client.

· Involved in other tasks as and when deemed necessary by the Contracts Manager or the Area Construction Manager.

· During my time on site I have assumed the role of Site Manager whilst the original Site Manager has been on vacation and concentrating on other projects. During this time I have liased with the client, allocated staff to various tasks on site, ordered plant and materials.

2003 - 2004 MWH, Lingley Mere, Warrington

Technical Assistant/Document Controller

Working as the Technical Assistant and Document Controller for the Northern Area Framework division of MWH covering various sites throughout the North West.

Duties Include

· Reporting directly to the Construction Representative

· Dealing with on site correspondence to and from the Contractor and Suppliers

Working as the Senior Site Administrator and Document Controller for a consortium

consisting of Ascon, Black & Veatch and Anglian Water on the Design, Build and

Operation of the new Dublin Wastewater plant.

Duties Include

· Reporting directly to the Project Director

· Typing correspondence from the Consortium to the Client

· Issuing technical drawings and specifications to the client for review and approval

· Organising meetings and producing monthly reports

· Updating internal drawing register and ensuring that all engineers are in receipt of same

· Dealing with day to day queries from the workforce on site

· Daily supervision of junior office and stock control personnel.

· Assisting in the collation of final documentation and O&M Manuals

· Monitoring site security system and staff.

· Procurement of all site stationery and first aid requirements.

· Involved in other tasks as and when deemed necessary by the Directors of the Consortium
