Woodside NWS Phase V LNG Expansion Project - Area Project Engineer

April 2005 - Present

My current role as Area Project Engineer I am responsible for the Off Site, Utilities and the Integration of new systems into the existing facility. The Prime areas of responsibility is the Introduction of 64 MW of Gas Turbine capability supplied by 2 x 32 MW LM6000 CTG's, LNG 'Boil off' system, fuel gas systems, LNG loading jetty design and installation and 'tie-in' and interconnection into existing systems.

v Management of project engineering team consisting of four project engineers assigned to one of the systems within the overall area.

v Responsible for the client and operations interface, including all access, HAZOP and HSE requirements.

v Co-ordination of LNG engineering, design and interface activities.

v Responsible for all P&ID development and approval associated with the areas of responsibility.

v Interface with the offshore (India) design office.

v Responsible for all deliverables to the Perth operating team associated with the areas.

v Co-ordination of all survey and design work-packs.

v Overall responsibility for the LNG Rundown Systems, Storage and Loading jetty system as well as the interfaces with the loading jetty substructure designer/contractor.

v Verification of interface design data within the areas of responsibility.

v Co-ordinate the reporting of engineering and design progress for the assigned areas.

v Act as contact between Foster Wheeler and Client's engineering representative.

v Staff development and performance management.

Kellog Brown and Root, Algeria

In Salah Gas Refinery Modifications Contract - Project Engineer

Sept 2004 - April 2005

During my time in this role I was accountable for all engineering design and technical integrity of the In Salah Gas Modifications Project, including in-house and sub-contract design work. This entailed:

v Planning and managing all aspects of the design process from concept design through to development of as-built drawings and operating and maintenance manuals

v Planning and managing design reviews

v Managing the design team to ensure contract requirements are satisfied within the established budget and time constraints

v Coordinating Project HAZOP requirements and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Assessments

v Verifying the coordination between disciplines and coordinating with procurement

v Providing leadership to Construction Engineers in the development of work packages

v Ensuring HSE requirements are addressed at all stages of the design process; obtaining approvals from Algerian certification bodies, including CTC, ONML and DPP.

v Coordinating staff performance management and development

Aker Maritime and Kewitt Contractors, Canada

White Rose Project - FPSO; Project Engineer/Subcontracts Manager

July 2001 - Sept 2004

As Project Engineer/Subcontracts Manager, I was primarily accountable for coordinating the Main Equipment / Local Equipment Room Modules (1200 tonnes), Manifold and Flare Knock out Module (1000 tonnes) together with the project-wide titanium piping contract. The role required management of the engineering personnel and all technical issues associated with the development of the modules - interfacing with construction teams and handling site clarifications and technical assistance. The position carried overall responsibility and accountability for module completion documentation in accordance with the AMKC quality and client/contract requirements. Overall contract values USD$35 Mill.

I additionally managed all commercial issues during contract execution; including: verification and acceptance of change orders, change control registers, the management and control of each budget for each Subcontract, monthly cash flow projections whilst facilitating official communication with the client and subcontractors.

Prior to the above, and following my promotion from Senior Electrical Engineer, I was handed the role of Subcontracts Project Engineer; responsible for two modules, the Main Equipment Room (MER) and Local Equipment Room (LER) with an EPC value of approx USD$16 Mill - developing the multi-discipline plan for procurement, engineering, construction and commissioning activities. I also developed the multi-discipline technical specifications and functional requirements for the Modules for implementation and inclusion in the technical section of the subcontract.

Upon completion of functional requirements, I managed the overall design of the MER/LER and led a multi-discipline team of Engineers and Designers whilst concurrently managing the Subcontractor on a daily basis, ensuring all deliverables and targets were achieved, interfacing between the AMKC construction yard and the Subcontractors facility.

During the project I was promoted from Senior Electrical Engineer to Project Engineer and finally to Project Engineer/Subcontracts manager. My involvement with this project was both challenging and extremely rewarding.

Talisman Blake Project - Senior Electrical Engineer

Sept 2000 - June 2001

This position was instrumental in the development of skills and experience still in practical use today and transferable into any role. I was primarily responsible for the detailed design, procurement and installation of the topside electrical modifications. The following is an overview of responsibilities:

v Coordinating multi discipline offshore surveys; maintaining liaison with operational personnel

v Developing all electrical drawings, distribution boards and MCC schedules to allow the construction team to perform tasks; handling all design specifications and requisitions

v Coordinating electrical activities alongside other disciplines involved in the multi-discipline tasks

v Coordinating project close out activities whilst providing engineering support to construction /commissioning

v Managing all vendors

v Attending design review meetings in Holland for the HV/LV switchgear, power management system and DC UPS system followed up by all FATs

v Coordinating all E&I for turret and swivel modifications for the sub sea hook-up
