EMPLOYMENT DETAILS.

Freelance working as 3D CADCEA Ltd. since Jan 1994, providing 3D Mechanical Design Services & internet 3D CAD training. Employer details as follows:-

TRW Automotive (Shirley office in Birmingham from Dec 2004 to date.) Fixed short term Contract to recover a 'slipped' project.

* Power steering pump drawings done for an electro / hydraulic unit. Drawings comprised casting & machining detail drawings for

the motor housing, & G.A's for Motor internals & ECU, (Electronic control unit.) as well as the G.A. for the fully assembled

EPHS (Electronic Power Hydraulic Steering) unit. Used Pro/E Cad and Intralink drawing management software.

NEG Micon Rotors - Formerly part of Taylor Woodrow. (June 2000 to Jul 2004.) Contract Project engineering & Design.

* Renewable energy / power generation in the wind turbine (windfarm) industry, using the latest Pro/E 3D CAD version.

* Design & drafting of blade root hub castings up to 16 tons (2-3 Mwatts) & associated large assemblies (M36 bolted joints)

housing the blade pitching & safety equipment on "Active Stall" & "Pitch Regulated" turbine configurations.

* Design of specialised lifting & winching equipment for use within turbines to remove the need for hiring cranes.

* Created Powerpoint presentation slides of 3D CAD work. Used SAP & Concorde MRP systems for part numbers & parts list.

* Order placement, price negotiation, supplier liaison & expediting. Used Microsoft Excel to track orders & deliveries.

MOLINS. (Oct 96 to Sept 97) Contract concept design.

* High speed cigarette manufacturing machinery. 10K-20K units per minute.

* Used Pro-Engineer R17 solid modelling CAD system for parts & assembly 3D models. Some drafting undertaken.

* Responsible for design of "Full tray" outfeed section of a tray-filling machine for buffering cigarette production. Design included

mechanisms, castings, guarding, fabrications, & drives. Design had to interface with several other major elements of the machine.

* Moment calculations done for a spring mechanism & a gas strut. Detail drafting undertaken by three colleagues.

* Responsible to Project Manager, & offered permanent employment.

THOMPSON CSF - Formerly Hughes Rediffusion Simulators. (Aug 96 - Oct 96) Fixed Term Contract design.

* Fixed term contract for flight simulator manufacturer. Used Pro-Engineer R15 to create solid models & detail drawings.

* Design & stress calculations for a special integral subframe section of a simulator.

* Responsible to Project Manager.

APPLIED MATERIALS. (Nov 94 - Aug 96) Contract design.

* Computer equipment manufacturing process machines. (Silicon wafer coating.)

* Customer 'special requirements' design, on Computervision CADDS 5 in a form-fit-function drawing environment.

* Used CAMU methods ('Explicit', 'Parametric', & 'Assembly design') on a daily basis, to create 3D models & detail drawings. Also

used Computervisions' EDM & formtek packages on a daily basis.

* Lift beam stressing calculations undertaken. Moved onto the design team for the next generation 300mm machine.

* MRP II stock control software used to generate the bills of materials (BOMS), & register new purchase parts.

* Responsible to Project Manager, & offered permanent employment.

CARNAUD-METALBOX. (Jun 94 - Nov 94) Contract design concepts.

* New food machine project concept to enable very high speed jar capping.

* Used Pro-Engineer R12 for creating base & framework concepts. Created detailed 3D solid models for manufacturing drawings.

surrounding 3Ddesign methods & concurrent engineering for Kvaerner Metals in Sheffield. Two days were spent

at Kvaerner Metals understanding their methods & aims for engineering, CAD & MRP. This was followed by a

week of authoring the report, & feedback from the Management Consultancy states that it helped the Kvaerner

management team to decide on a future Engineering Strategy for the Metals division.

JAN 1997. Negotiated the sale & legalities of my late Fathers' accountancy practice on behalf of my Mother. This included

finding a buyer, liasing & negotiating with the buyer, his solicitor & our own solicitor. A legally binding

Contract of Sale was completed & the sale was successfully concluded. The buyer is still my accountant.
