Working on all aspects of a meter consumption data gathering system with many commercial, MOD and local, education and health authority customers. Duties involved procuring supplies as required, assembling, installing and commissioning the equipment comprising radio transmitters and receivers, modems and personal computers. Product testing, fault finding and development are also a large part of the position.

COMPUTING EXPERIENCE:

At School I used an Elliot 903C computer with paper tape input, programming in Simpol, Algol, Fortran and SIR (assembly). In my further education, I programmed 8088 microprocessors, Z80 microprocessors using a UNIX based Philips microprocessor development system. I also used Commodore and IBM microcomputers, mainly for Basic programming. In the workplace, I have used a Sage database, an Apple IIe with a View word processor and Visicalc spreadsheet package, an Epson QL for 8085 assembly language programming and an Amstrad HD1640, principally for Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley PLC programming. I own a BBC model B computer and an IBM compatible PC which I have used to develop my skills in computer interfacing, programming in 6502 Assembler, Basic and Pascal, along with the use of general applications. I currently use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook as well as technical applications for operating or setting up equipment.
