Commissioning of the new Fuji and Yokogawa instruments for the "Hot Cut-Over" from the existing to the new system, situated at Caltex Oil Refinery in Cape Town. Also involved in the installation of Yokogawa PLC and DC drives. Loop checking and fault finding was a major priority with the work involved.

Installed a new CO_² Fire Alarm System at the new Richards Bay Minerals Computer Housing Complex. Wiring up of Dekeron Flexible Cable to each Smoke Detector, i.e. Optical and Ionisation. Wiring up of the Main Memory Control Panel, which branches out and receives signals from each self-addressed detector, i.e. Binary Code. Also wired the detonator panel for the release of CO_² Gas.
