I worked as a freelancer in the area of illustration. I was responsible for working on a wide range of client projects, generating new ideas, concepts, themes and characters. I created wallpapers and screensavers for mobile phones, but also some characters and concepts for computer games using illustrative skills (both realistic & cartoon styling). I produced sketches and worked with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Macromedia Flash as tools (ability and knowledge of animating within flash). See http://www.zasguru.com for samples.

As a creative director I worked on several projects involving the design of 'eye catching' branding ensuring companies have a unique corporate image. I was responsible for the creative team and all the visual image of the enterprise. I created different contents as logo, brochure, poster, catalogue, sign writing, flash presentation for plasma on shopping centre and marketing related material. I also designed web pages, graphics and email elements. I was responsible for all processes so i had colour printing process knowledge (using special colours and plate processes). I also coordinated the production process, created accurate digital files, undertook layout through all proofing stages to delivery of completed product. I had the opportunity to collaborate with different clients, from real estate companies (Comprar Casa), internet providers (clix), publishing companies (Editorial Presença).

At Impala Publishers, which is one of the biggest publishing companies in Portugal, I worked on Illustration - creative vector design, art working visuals and hand drawn sketches, editorial design mainly. Used Adobe Illustrator and Quarkxpress based on illustrative skills (both realistic & cartoon styling). Produced illustration and info graphic technical illustration for several magazines: Focus, Mulher Moderna, Boa Forma e Crescer. Was also responsible for the layout of some magazines.

As a graphic designer I participated in a fundraising campaign for the promotion of the rights of people with disabilities. I created a wide range of engaging communication media including Point of sale material, brochures & flyers. I had the opportunity to work in an enrichment project that gave me an international background.
