CV
| I have worked for many years in an administrative and book keeping background. I have worked in accounts departments and have experience of many software applications. I am very computer literate and can learn new skills very easily. I have run my own business and can use this experience to enhance my knowledge of business skills and practices. I have worked with VAT and payroll, purchase and sales ledger, and have worked in the retail sector; I owned my own lighting store for a number of years. When left school I trained as a hairdresser, I worked in the same salon for seven years before having a career break, to have my son. I trained during this time and gained many new skills and qualifications. Although I enjoyed meeting people, I decided I enjoyed the administrative and organisational part of the job, rather than the hairdressing. I therefore trained as an administrator, and decided to work in this field. My main roles have been in bookkeeping and I enjoy this very much. I havealmost completed NVQ level 3 in business administration, which is work based at my current job using the skills I have to gain this qualification. |

Uniun Enterprise Trust Limited, Uniun Depot Front Street Pegswood Morpeth Northumberland• Voluntary role. This company was set up to help the local people in the community set up small businesses. We ran an office/workshop block. Let out the space to small businesses for a nominal rent, to cover the running costs of the building. I worked in the depot for one of these businesses and decided to get involved in the trust as I thought it was a worthwhile cause. When I sadly had to resign because of the pressures of running my lighting shop, the depot was full, with 9 units let to small businesses. We helped set up a hairdressers, cafe, printing business, and building firm. We also had various voluntary groups using the depot. I feel very proud of what was achieved.
