Having operated at a management and senior management level for 7 years I have wide experience of business planning to achieve corporate business objectives. I have run a business with turnover of £4.5 million for the last 5 years and increased turnover by over £1m during this time. I have experience of budgetary management, project management, management of multiple locations, drafting service level agreements and management agreements for both internal and external partners. I also have experience of drafting policies and procedures and getting these through Board level scrutiny.

Previous to my last role I have operational management experience in both the voluntary and local government sectors. I have a detailed understanding of people management techniques including supervision, appraisal and training. I also have knowledge and experience of compliance with the strict regulations within the housing, care and support sectors but could turn this to other areas also.

Working within these sectors has also given me an excellent practical knowledge of health and safety, risk assessment/management and business continuity planning within the sector.

Grew business by over £1m by expanding domiciliary care schemes from 100-800 hours support provided per week. Oversaw introduction of an innovative retirement service for people with learning disabilities.

Led strategic and Best Value Reviews of services provided.

Achieved accreditation with relevant local authorities for supported living services and improved reports from the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).

Achieved IIP status during 2007.

Management of partnering arrangements with a variety of other voluntary sector, local government, regulatory and statutory bodies. These were governed by management agreements, Service Level Agreements or Core Agreements as appropriate.
