After leaving University I worked as a holiday representative for 6 years, dealing with customers face-to-face, handling complaints and selling products. I later worked as an Entertainments Manager on a Spanish holiday camp, presenting shows in 4 languages to c.2000 people, and managing a team of 7 staff. On my return to the UK I worked as a receptionist/administrator, then trained as a stockbroker and investment manager, liaising with clients and managing stock portfolios worth up to £85 million. During my career break for children, I have worked for local charities, organising sales and promotions, such as a Summer Auction which raised over £2000; a school fete which raised £5000; arranged celebrity appearances, and promoted and marketed various events. I have also written articles for and single-handedly edited the quarterly issue of our NCT magazine for the past 3 years.
