HR Consultant
• Sourced and co-ordinated the successful recruitment of 40 + employees within the Finance, Operations, Health and Safety, HR, IT and Admin departments of a new multi £million liquid natural gas (LNG) terminal based in Wales.
• Re-wrote job descriptions, screened CV’s, maintained records, attended selection interviews, negotiated salaries and job offers, liaised with agencies, candidates and managers and co-ordinated recruitment advertising.
• Added value by creating and developing a PSL of key and approved supplier agencies, currently being used by the HR Department. Consultancy contract via Grapevine HR Ltd.

HR Consultant
• Successfully undertook an HR Review and organisational restructure of the department of 12 based in London
• Reviewed current structure, systems and processes; interviewed all staff, provided recommendations and presented findings to the team. Wrote a staff handbook containing all relevant policies and procedures: now in use
• Re-wrote employment contracts in accordance with UK law, and updated job descriptions for all staff, in consultation with the Director. These were sent to Dubai Head Office, were subsequently approved and are now in use.
• Reviewed appraisal process and provided recommendations which are being reviewed by Dubai Head Office
• Undertook a training needs analysis and review of learning and development processes; sourced and priced relevant courses and supplied recommendations which are now being implemented
• Successfully handled employee relations issues e.g. dismissal and discipline in conjunction with the Director
• Added value by creating a 5 year plan and new organisational structure: this was presented to Dubai Head Office and is currently being implemented. Consultancy contract via Grapevine HR Ltd.
• Abilitynet - a national UK charity: retained as an HR Consultant via Grapevine HR Ltd between 2004 –2006
• Advised on redundancy, sickness absence, company cars, grievance, dismissal, benefits and contractual queries
• Other clients include private and not-for-profit organisations in the Travel, Corporate Events, IT and PR sectors
