Based in South West Surrey and ideally located for access to London and other areas, I have an extensive training, learning and leadership background formed over the past 15 years in leadership, management and training roles.

I have a unique understanding of the nuances and issues relating to on-going learning and maintain an holistic approach to the solving of problems and a demonstrated ability to assimilate new information and to deliver high standards even in high pressure situations and to tight deadlines.

As a Leader/Manager I have a track record for developing high performance teams most recently this was demonstrated during a period of compulsory mobilised service on Op Telic in Southern Iraq, where I selected and developed a team of 12 from a unique collection of high performing individuals and then having completed pre deployment training led them on ground operations in support of UK Military Intelligence.

As the Training Manager for Simon Management I carried overall responsible for all training matters relating to UK and Ireland operations including the development and delivery of the Organisations Training Plan, Training Needs Analysis and the development of the Training Portfolio. During this period I developed and delivered new workshops for the Supervisory Management programme attended by both internal and external candidates, including sessions on Relationship Development, Self Awareness and Time Management. Our major accounts included; Exxon Mobil, ChevronTexaco, Irish Shell and Statoil (Ireland).

A former Training Analyst for Future Projects with VT Defence I have a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of a complex Systems Approach to Training. Including:

All aspects of a full and comprehensive Training Needs Analysis project (OTA, TGA, TOA, Scoping Study, ToR etc.)
Internal and external validation processes
Development of compliant Course Training Packages
Working alongside other agencies in support of multiple tier training projects including membership of Training Working Groups and Training Support Steering Groups.
Project Management of training related projects
Supporting projects with workshops and meetings
Training and Workshop delivery

I have excellent knowledge of course design from the development of Training Objectives thorough to the completion of the Course Training Package and a working knowledge of Course Design software applications and an extensive grasp of course design issues including resource availability and allocation in addition to scheduling.

I have delivered training at many levels from entry to Foundation Degree including Overseas Students in both Technical and ‘Soft Skills’. I have experience in the gaining accreditation for training packages from agencies such as Edexcel and City and Guilds/ILM.
