| I am a mature professional with wide ranging business and training skills, a Self-Starter who is a highly experienced operator within the corporate promotional sector and dealing with organisation of events, exhibitions and product launches. Skills and knowledge levels are wide ranging from being responsible for running a company in a highly competitive sector working internationally. I am able to provide specialist knowledge and skills related to the German market (30 years experience) in diverse business and public sectors. During various stages of my career I have been responsible for a diverse range of management activity including: Devising and implementing training programmes within a large organisation, Sales management, Organising events and exhibitions on a worldwide basis for a large Plc Company, Export Management in a production environment and diverse tasks during a period of Police service. |

Peterborough & DusseldorfI was responsible for founding, directing and managing a successful International exhibition and trade fair company designing and supplying large exhibition stands to corporate exhibitors. The business quickly established operations in both the UK and within mainland Europe.
As a mature business professional I have gained a very broad base of knowledge and skills, all of which have been applied in business, both in practical situations and operations.
My clients included a number of Blue Chip and leading companies from the private sector (UK, Europe and North America) plus contracts for significant government agencies from Germany, Finland, Denmark and UK.
I undertook responsibility for overseeing all aspects related to activity in the areas of design, planning, costing, administering projects, manufacture and collation of projects, logistics, purchasing, health and safety legislation, regulatory control, project management on site in various countries, staff and sub-contract staff management involving UK, German, EC and North American labour. Credit Control, Invoicing and Accounts.
I am a well organised individual with high personal standards, integrity and believe in the highest levels of professional ethics. I would also bring to any situation many transferable life and business skills.

Exhibitions and Events Manager
London EC2During this part of my career I undertook the full range marketing and promotional duties with international involvement for a PLC Group in the Print, Communications & Publishing Industry.
My role included responsibility for both UK and International exhibitions, events and projects.
I left the company to found and establish my own company and further develop a broader based understanding of running a profitable business and develop additional leadership skills

Regional Sales Manager
R.T Display Systems Ltd, London SW6This career role included interior design work and sales directly related to exhibitions, retail interiors and display features.
A number of large national contracts were accorded to this company as a direct result of my work. Examples included retail interiors for BT, The National Mining Museum for the NCB, Exhibition stands for Dunlop.
I was also closely involved with the company's policy redirection and implementation to supply products to the market through a dedicated network of trade suppliers to the shop fitting, interiors and exhibition industries.
I resigned from the company after being head hunted by BPCC Plc to manage their exhibition department.

Export Controller & Export Manager
Harris Lebus Ltd, ReadingThis role included setting up a production planning and administrative system which would efficiently operate in respect of all the company’s exports to Europe, Middle Eastern and Far East Markets.
Shortly after successfully completing this task and seeing through its practical implementation I was promoted to having overall control of the department reporting to the group sales director.
The management role included direct responsibility for sales, production planning liaison, logistical planning, customer service, management of regional sales agents, credit control and invoicing. I therefore worked closely with the parent group’s cost accountants, factory operational management and production, logistics and accounts departments.
The export operations were a small but profitable section of a company which was sustaining large losses on its UK operations during the period.
I left due to redundancy when company was taken over in 1980

Police Office / Instructor
Thames Valley Police, Reading (Training Centre)At 22 years of age I was appointed as the youngest full time instructor at a UK Police Training Establishment.
My role was that instructor responsible for training police cadets (16-19 age groups) in Physical Training and Adventure Training at a serious level (comparable with military standards) to develop students levels of confidence, common sense, leadership skills and self reliance.
Other duties included teaching in classroom and alternative locations involving practical skills, team building, physical training, self defence, adventure training, survival skills etc.
I was also involved in planning training programmes and instituted a programme of recording comprehensive performance data fitness/health data in respect of students development at defined training phase intervals.
I also gained specialist knowledge in high energy output and diet / metabolism rates related to physical training and mountain sports.
Police Trained in lecturing and presentation skills.
Additional responsibilities involved training regular officers in dealing with crowd control situations and riot procedures.
It was and still is most pleasing situation to recall that I left this situation with the knowledge that the overall standards and morale among the cadets, in my own areas of responsibility, was transformed during my tenure from below an acceptable national level to one of the highest in the UK.

Police Officer (Police Cadet 67-69)
Metropolitan Police, VariousAs a regular police officer I undertook general police duties in the Borough of Lambeth (Kennington & N. Brixton area). Police trained driver, investigator, first aid & specialist training skills.
I became familiar and comfortable working within the widest cross sections of society from Royalty to down and outs. Experience also included working with multi race and ethnic communities from a young age.
Prior to this I was a Police Cadet in the training structure of the Metropolitan Police
