Employment History

(Oct 2005 to Nov 2007)

Operations Manager

A recruitment company started in 2004 recruiting from the new EU Accession states into the Care, Catering Driving & Farming industries. This was a very varied role, initially to help train our overseas consultants, along with recruiting from my own desk. 2005 I was responsible for the large contracts I had brought to the company. Duties included the following:
o Aide in training new staff in our office in Estonia.
o Recruiting internal staff.
o Traveling overseas to hold recruitment days both with & with out my clients.
o Responsible for several large contracts from the initial meeting stage and client briefing to placing the candidates & helping with travel & welfare. One of these large clients was in particular was worth £75,000 to the company (Gross).
o Training & coaching new staff within the company
o Day to day contact with clients, both in a sales & service capacity.
o Full responsibility of recruiting overseas agents, devising presentations and coaching them into how the UK recruitment market works.
o Dealing with our agents on a daily basis.
o Helping to implement our upgraded Recruitment database, with training & support.
o Producing weekly reports on staff performance & billings.
RFL : Mutual end the contract of which I was working on a Self employed basis


(Apr 2004 to Jul 2005)

Branch Manager

I started working for Grays Personnel Ltd. as a branch manager of their commercial only branch in Epsom. Grays went into liquidation in May 05 The new buyers merged Epsom branch with the Sutton branch.
o All aspects of running a branch of a recruitment agency
o Training the new team that was out in place
o Sourcing New Business, and servicing existing clients
o Networking with both the chambers of commerce, and a private networking business.
o I was tasked with bringing in new Industries of catering & Industrial into the Epsom branch.
RFL: Redundancy after the take-over.


(May 2000 to Mar 2004)

Branch Manager (Slough)

CIP Personnel

o All aspects of solely running this busy branch in both Catering & Industrial sectors
o Responsible for the in flight catering which was minimum 50 staff a day peaking at 85. (running 365 days @ 24hrs on call)
o Running all events staff including the Ryder cup at the Belfry, Royal Ascot, Cheltenham Gold Cup, Reading FC and the Grand Prix at Silverstone.
o Average Gross income on the last year was circa £35k - £40k weekly.

Branch Manager (Slough & Crawley) November 02 – May 02
o After the success of Crawley I was tasked with keeping the slough branch open, by increasing sales, and managing both branches.

Assistant Branch Manager (Crawley) January 01-November 02
o Running the Crawley branch
o When I started the branch was billing between £5k and £6K a week. By 6 months I had increased it to a steady £24 -£26k weekly
o This was achieved my re-kindling lost business, and building our service to a then small contract with the NHS.

Recruitment Consultant (Brighton) May 00 – January 01
o Training as a recruitment consultant building up my industrial desk.
o Liaising with drivers
o Peaking at 200 temps out a day (of which 125 were my responsibility)
RFL : I was made redundant for taking sides during a directors dispute.

HND Performance Art
B-tec 5 x Modules within the theatre studies spectrum
A-Level English Literature / English Language / Psychology
GCSE’s 9 x A* - C grades including Maths & English

Interests

I have many interests with a wide range from singing in a band last year, socialising, baking, and traveling to unusual & different places. I enjoy experiencing new things whether flying or chasing tornadoes.

I hope to turn my interests in to a business next year.
