Used Samba as a means of file transfer. A second major responsibility was the execution of formulary switches in surgeries for a major pharmaceutical client, this being done both by myself and through a network of consultants set up and trained by myself. These were executed on over 20 different medical systems (e.g., EMIS, VAMP, and GENISYST) and platforms (BOS, Unix and Windows NT), the number of changes being in excess of 20,000 patients. Additional projects, including the selection and training and management of external contractors was ongoing. Made redundant in July, 1998 due to outsourcing.
