CV

I am Ashford based ESOL/EFL teacher and Polish translator/interpreter.
I hold BA and MA degree in English philology (course of studies including EFL/ESOL teaching: pedagogy, psychology & methodology) gained in one of the best Polish universities. The MA degree entitles me to teach on primary, secondary and college/university level.
I am determined to continue my education gaining skills and experience I will certainly find useful in my career. Therefore, I have recently undertaken a course Diploma in Teaching Business English at Oxford College and I am expecting to complete it within few months.
I am also currently preparing to enter part-time studies in London related to translation/interpreting (DPSI/Dip Trans).
As for my teaching experience, I have been teaching English in Poland and UK (London).
While in London I have been teaching adult international groups in one of London's language schools. I have successfully brought them from elementary to upper-intermediate level in one year.
Apart from school teaching I have been engaged in private tuition for 7 years now. My tutees have been of all ages (from 5 to 45) and levels. During this time I have gathered a considerable number of textbooks and additional materials to facilitate lessons. At present I provide home tuition in English as a foreign language to international (French, Czech, Turkish, Polish, etc.) and I am engaged in informal language exchange with a German teacher.
I have also applied for a voluntary post at Sure Start Children’s Centre in Ashford. I am still awaiting CRB check results before I commence the volunteer work.
