CV

I am a designer with a broad background in practical and innovative work in multidisciplinary fields. I am enthusiastic, creative and professional with strong inter-personal skills and an almost old fashioned sense of diligence to duty.

I have been practising design for six years and 3D visualisation for three. I have worked in several different fields of design, on many high-profile projects. These include: BAE - Joint Strike Fighter; Stella Artois - 'The Trap'; National Museum of Ireland - Barracks Life Discovery Rooms; Lufthansa - B747 Escape Trainer

These skills give my designs a foundation based on technology, viability, form and function.

Employment History

(May 2006 & ongoing)

Designer/Visualiser

Oldham, Manchester

I met EDM through their own exhibitions arm but worked mostly with Mick Bonney on defence and aviation. This was an interesting departure and allowed me to work on some very different projects, including: The Joint Strike Fighter, BAE Remote Weapons Systems and Lufthansa Safety Program.

(Sep 2003 & ongoing)

Lead Designer

Central London

This was my introduction to the world of interactives, exhibitions and museums. I started back in the workshop, fabricating and modelling. I then moved into the electronics and software department and then into a project management role. This gave me a great grounding in all the mission critical areas of production. In 2005-06 I began to use my visualisation skills to spearhead a new design
department working closely with the sales and marketing team. This department is still going well and I continue to work on several projects with HB. The piece of design work of which I am most proud is the ‘Stella Trap’ we designed for Lowe Roch and Stella Artois.

(Jul 2000 to Sep 2002)

Jewellery Designer

The Great Frog Ltd, Soho, London

This is where I started during college. Eventually, head of design, for a trendy Carnaby Street jewellers. An impressive, rock-n-roll client list allowed me to have my work patronised by the likes of David Beckham, Swarovsky, Ozzy Osborne, Coolio, Ronnie Woods and more. An enjoyable and experimental period in my design work which taught me plenty.

Education

(Sep 2001 to Oct 2002)

Goldsmiths College

PGCE: Secondary/Tertiary Level Design and Technology.

(Sep 1998 to May 2001)

Camberwell College or Art and Design

BA Hons Silversmithing and Metalwork
