As a member of the Bank's Securities Training Panel, delivered training packages on all
aspects of the following topics:
* Taking security over land, life policies, guarantees and stocks and shares, (to include all procedures involved with selecting the correct charge forms and perfecting the security to the Bank's requirements).
* Instructed all levels of staff from clerical to management level in the technical requirements of securities work (for example, borrowing powers, company charges, floating charges,etc).
* As a member of the Bank's International Services Instruction Panel, delivered training packages on all aspects of international trade including :- documentary collections, documentary letters of credit, foreign exchange, forward contracts, ECGD and export finance, guarantees issued by bank's, shipping terms and documentation associated with control over goods.
* Wrote a manual for a private tutorial firm for use by students studying for the Chartered Institute of Bankers' examinations in the subject of 'Finance of International Trade', which was published in 1983.
* Accepted a contract from Guildford Technical College to lecture (evenings) in 'Law Relating to Banking' for the bankers' examinations. During the 6 years lecturing, my students achieved an average of 75% pass rate as against a national average of about 22%

Office Management 1985 1989
* Responsible for up to 32 staff, formulated and achieved training plans for both clerical and professional staff to the specification of Regional Office.
* Implemented strict internal audit checks, meeting the desired action standards.
* Administered the Bank's rules and regulations and organised daily workload of all staff, training them to a high standard in cash handling, bookkeeping and customer service.
* Responsible for providing full support to the Manager, deputising in some instances in his absence.
* Controlled customer borrowing, achieving above average success in maintaining low debt defaults and ensured that ambitious targets were exceeded for Barclayloans and Home Mortgages.

Controlled all aspects of the Bank's internal audit checks. Control of customer borrowing.
A good standard of control was achieved with little bad debt history.
