• Research Trusts and Charitable Foundations and writing grant applications and proposals to them, in order to raise money for the biggest children’s cancer charity in the UK.
• Writing grant applications and proposals to statutory bodies and other non-governmental organisations, such as the National Lottery and Blue Peter.
• Manage cross-functional communication between departments, such as Services, Fundraising, Communications, Marketing and Finance in order to collate the information necessary to prepare effective applications and proposals.
• Prepare a Trust fundraising strategy, including a calendar of Trust applications.
• Meet personal fundraising targets and assist in meeting the Trust team fundraising target.


Specific Work Achievements:
• Drafting a successful appeal to the National Lottery worth £150K.
• Writing the proposal to Blue Peter that resulted in us being one of four charities invited to pitch for the chance to be their charity appeal partner.
• Creating new application templates for each of the wide range of services CLIC Sargent provides.

• Direct influence at all levels from market research to manufacturing in order to facilitate product launches and control brand economics
• Initiated Market Research to establish the appropriate direction of the brands. Presented findings and recommendations to the board to get approval for the appropriate actions, which included product launches, new pack sizes and designs, and consumer promotions on all the above brands. All of these initiatives were then followed through and managed by me to conclusion
• Chaired inter-departmental and cross-agency meetings on specific projects and had to co-ordinate and motivate everybody to ensure timelines and budgetary targets were adhered to
• Directly involved in the advertising process, attending copy reviews and influencing the outcomes

Specific Work Achievements:
• Launched Rice Krispie and Caramel Coco Pops flavours of Cereal & Milk Bars, which grew the Cereal & Milk Bar business by 15%
• Launched Caramel and Chocolate variant of Rice Krispie Squares to reinvigorate the brand and made the brand profitable for the first time since its launch
• Initiated two new pack sizes on Special K to exploit the trade opportunities to grow the UK Special K business by 2%
• Had direct influence on the launch strategy of Real Fruit Winders, which has been the most successful new product launch in Kellogg UK history, outselling established brands like Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles, in GSV terms in its first year
