 Successfully project managed Customer First kitemark accreditation including operational policy and systems review, implementation and monitoring
 Promoted from Workforce Development Manager to Business Manager in July 06 to take on additional responsibilities within current role after line managers role of Director was made redundant
 Successfully project managed the sub-regional Train to Gain contract across Hull, East Riding, Bishop Burton and Grimsby Colleges worth £1.4 million

Invest is the business to business arm of Hull College which works with employers across all sectors in the Humber sub region delivering training, development and business support services. Income is generated from Full Cost, Learning and Skills Council (LSC) Further Education (FE) funding, employer contribution and funded projects. The role is responsible for the operational management of the Invest business and the centre with an annual turnover of £1.2 million plus College project income, including a £1.4 million Train to Gain project. Responsibilities included:
- Strategic planning for the business and the preparation and implementation of operational and developmental plans
- The development and delivery of flexible, responsive, needs led provision including accredited and non accredited learning and development
- Financial management of the business including capital bidding, resource and financial planning; budget management; target setting and achievement of LSC FE targets, projects and full cost income; costings for all business activity including direct sales; invoicing and claims
- Management of a range of open and bespoke, accredited and non accredited training provision including management and personal development to level 7; human resources including CIPD qualifications, assessor and verifier awards; health and Safety including NEBOSH; health and social care; IT and business admin; retail and customer services.
- Bid and proposal completion and submission for business clients in the private, public and community sectors and for funded projects
- Project management across a range of projects including LSC and ESF funded programmes in health and social care, logistics, Train to Gain and construction projects
- Business development management for the business
- Customer relationship management (CRM) for the business including procedure development and implementation, key account management, networking activities, partner relationships and direct sales activity, implementing an IT CRM system, ‘Distinction’, across the business
- Line management of 28 staff and a range of self-employed associates
