Presentation letter

I’m a hardworking and self-motivated individual, able to work under pressure and meet targets and tight deadlines consistently. I have a practical and flexible approach to duties, I’m able to take responsibility and work effectively alone or as a part of a team.
As an Italian chartered architect with over 20 years of broad experience ranging from Maintenance services, safety, security and environment, to development and regeneration projects and to management and supervision of construction projects., I have a wide range of experience and I'm interested and enthusiastic to continue to use my skills and abilities within a challenging environment.
I think also that my good knowledge of planning guidelines, my experience in large master planning proposals and in historical and listed buildings, my use to deal with Contractors and Public Administrations (mainly in Italy, but also in experiences of international working) could be useful for the Maintenance Department of a Public Institution.
My key experience is in the management of large size Restoration, Refurbishment and Maintenance contracts from inception to handover for all technical and safety matters and for large size Projects, leading large (30 + staff) multi disciplinary technic, design and work teams. I have proven management capabilities and an ability to deal directly and confidently with public officers, contractors and clients in both private and public sector.
Having been in my early career a tutor for the summer courses and workshops in Restoration and Archaeology at the Polytechnic of Turin, I have an understanding of the university environments and of the issues surrounding Higher Education, especially as these relate to estates and buildings matters.
