Since 1998 I have run my own consultancy business advising a huge range of clients. This has included spells as the Finance Director of a International Television Distribution Company (for 2 years) and as the COO (and founder and shareholder) of a Television Production and Distribution company called Alchemy Filmed Entertainment (for 1 year before I sold my stake).

I have done business all over Europe including a lot in Central and Eastern Europe, the US, India and written business plans for all kinds of businesses from television licence applications in Hungary, Finland and Poland to a financial services business in India; a Gastroentorology clinic in Ghana; television production companies; German publishers and a number of on-line ventures.

After leaving Deutsche Bank I became Head of Business Development for Compagnie Luxembourgeois de Telediffusion (CLT), the parent company of RTL and the biggest owner of television and radio stations in Europe. While there my achievements included the establishment of the satellite TV channel RTL7 in Poland (a joint-venture with MCA Universal), the project management of an application for the second private national TV licence in Finland with Finnish partners and the project management of an application for one of the two new national terrestrial licences in Hungary . This involved the establishment of a consortium consisting of MATAV, Pearson and Raiffeisen Unicbank and the preparation of detailed documentation regarding plans for the new station. In July 1997 this consortium, Magyar RTL Rt., was awarded a licence. I then became managing director of the station, RTL KLUB , overseeing its launch phase (the station began broadcasting in October 1997) and managing the station until May 1998 when I left to set up my own consultancy business.

After Schroders I moved to Morgan Grenfell (now Deutsche Bank) to do more media related M&A but soon felt I wanted to become more involved in business rather than being always an advisor.

After my MBA I went to work for the investment bank J. Henry Schroder Wagg, which is now part of Citicorp, in the Corporate Finance division specialising in media related mergers and acquisitions. I did a range of transactions for clients including Time Warner, the BBC, HBO, White Rose Television, HTV and Stakis.
