Project tasks

• Implementation of new Credit Cards for Thomas Cook and Argos including new Loan product as part of joint ventures by rationalising the systems, to one core platform - VisionPLUS.
• Responsible for working on Exceptions transactions processing i.e. chargebacks including: scheme compliance, claims and settlements. E2E process implemented for Section 75.
• Responsible for testing MI feeds from GUI front end and mainframe interfaces.
• Responsible for BACS certification and Payments E2E testing. Assisting with GL reconciliation.
• Responsible for working with key personnel across both the project teams and with new partnerships team to ensure concise process engineering has been documented correctly.
• Supporting the development of the delivery of the functional specifications working with existing project team members to ensure a flawless execution of the programme, including working within the programmes design team before moving to the testing of business outputs through both UAT and documenting the logistics of how the business will operate using the new platforms.
• Providing support whilst testing and implementing.
• Defect resolution managed using Test Director.
• Currently working remotely as required.

Project tasks

• Implementation of Falcon Fraud detection software (Fair Isaac product) version 4.5.3 to interface with RBOS Debit Card system. Tasks undertaken included defining business requirements, process mapping, data mapping, writing functional specification documentation, and technical documentation. All documentation adhering to Prince II methodology.
• Participating in Unit, System and User Acceptance testing using Test Director, DB2 and CICS.
• Providing on-site and off-site support whilst testing and implementing.
• Defect resolution managed using PVCS-Tracker.
• Query/ defect resolutions obtained by managing the relationship between Business, Technical and third party suppliers: FICO and Newell & Budge, Business and Decision.
• Weekly travel between Dublin, Edinburgh and London. Currently working 3 days remotely and 2 days on site in Edinburgh.

Projects include

• Implementation of Falcon Fraud detection software (Fair Isaac product) for multiple Bankcard clients. Tasks undertaken included technical documentation and support, system testing and UAT support and post implementation assistance. Using SQL DB2 query to analyse database tables.
• Falcon fraud detection software upgrade from version 4.3 to version 4.6.1. Tasks have included test scripting using Test Director, test execution, test documentation, implementation, post-implementation support, and client meetings. Clients include National Australia Bank, Sygma Bank and Halifax Bank of Scotland (Ireland).
• DB2 upgrade from version 6 to version 7. Tasks included testing of pre and post upgrade systems to ensure functionality not affected by software upgrade.
• Full project lifecycle involvement on ATM (LINK) cash advance service for DUET cardholders. Tasks included initial gathering of business requirements, functional specification writing, test phases (test scripting and planning, test execution, system test sign-off, UAT support), implementation planning and post implementation support.
• Payment schemes compliance projects. Bi-annual mandatory enhancements from Mastercard and VISA on client Bankcard systems. Tasks included requirements analysis, full test documentation (scripts, plans, status reporting), defect management, simulator software upgrades through to client sign-off, implementation and post implementation support.
• Performed full project life-cycle activities related to enhancements to card and PIN production process in conjunction with 3rd party supplier e.g. requirements gathering, process re-engineering, UAT planning, implementation planning.
• Travel to Atlanta, Amsterdam and client sites in Leeds, Nottingham and Birmingham. Occasional days working from home.

Project involvement

• International payment systems enhancements. Tasks included requirements gathering, writing functional and program specifications for compliance with VISA, Mastercard and JCB requirements.
• Full software development life cycle involvement from design through to system support.

Software Development

• 6 months training in Cobol programming and associated tools, i.e. JCL, SAS, Fileaid (batch and online).
• CICS programming training.
• Development of new software and maintenance of existing Cardpac client systems as part of dedicated team providing full support from initial requirements through unit testing, system testing, UAT support, implementation and 24 hour production system support.
• Development of new software on strategic account processing platform, GEMS (Visionplus + Experian developed enhancements). Included software development and subsequent unit, and system testing.
• Year 2000 testing involvement
• Provision of translation services as part of Experian International Client services group.

New Business Development

• Production of business specifications. Co-ordination of client’s acceptance/QA testing and monitoring of results to ensure requirements are fulfilled
• Pre-sales software demonstrations to prospective and existing clients. Post sales client meetings to review business requirements and project progress.
