I led a project to provide the first comprehensive survey of medical academic staff. The methodology has since been adopted and the results are updated annually.

The company had traditionally focused on providing information about the performance of health services to patients (in a good hospital guide) and to managers. I developed a business strategy to sell clinical outcome information directly to clinical teams, helping them monitor the service provided and provide data to satisfy new demands from regulators.

I was the senior staff member in relation to health policy development, providing advice to elected leaders and written analysis and oral briefings for members. I coordinated consultation responses, organized seminars, wrote briefings and papers on a range of policy issues. I maintained key relationships with the policy community, including the Department of Health, arranging seminars and conferences.

Managed a large three-year research project evaluating the roll-out of a new policy initiative. I developed the methodology and led the project. I wrote reports throught and presented a series of seminars on lessons for management from the research.

I led a research project to talk to various groups in two hospitals, a local authority and several research departments to explore ways in which organisation could better support relationships between them. The final report on ways to strengthen clinical research was adopted by the local area and reported in the Swedish Medical Journal and its structure.
