Last 4 years in full time employment in the UK with major GIS software company as a senior consultant and technical writer. Consultancy projects worked on include major database implementation project with national mapping agency and data migration project with national utilities company. Technical writing work for US office - series of technical white papers for online help system.
Prior to that I worked with the same organisation in the USA, as a lead product specialist and technical writer in software development. Product specialism included data replication and data integration (ODBC, OLE DB, ADO). Technical writing included co-authoring a user guide and contributing author for software tutorials and related user manuals.
