CV

After a degree in modern languages I went into the aerospace industry where I began work in financial and production computer systems - a springboard for learning how a manufacturing business and processes really work. After a year out to take a Masters in Business Administration, I returned to the aerospace industry as project manager in advanced military aircraft development. While my children were young, I reinforced this practical experience with academic research into the components of successful joint ventures (people and psychology). With my PhD completed I then worked as a consultant, helping new business unit startups in the aerospace industry and focusing on rapid quality systems implementation. I then moved into a new industry altogether. With the advent of significant structural changes in tbe agricultural industy I started a sucessful new business with a group of visionary farmers - designed to provide all farmers with a form of organisation suitable for their new commercial environment. The time has now come for me to use my practical, management, analytical and entrepreneurial skills in a new setting!
