PRODUCTION MANAGER, DESIGNER, SIGN MAKER, INSTALLER,

• Graphic designer: Primarily Illustrator, Photoshop and word

• Design: Logo Design, Packaging design, Posters, Brochure layouts, Branding, Fleet Branding, Digitization, Banners, Advert and Signage Layout, Business card and leaflet design… and a gate.

• Colour management: Pantone matching, calibration, and icc profile management.

• Eco solvent outdoor media printing: operation, maintenance of Roland digital printer: large format banners and prints, labels, posters and signage: using Roland colour rip and Wasatch colour rip

• Printing: Xerox laser printer: Copying, Scanning, Printing (A1 max) presentation booklets, leaflets, compliment slips, binding and finishing.

• Signage preparation: preparing substraights, cutting, weeding, covering, polishing, laminating, applying vinyl and cut letters.

• Installation: Driving in central London; scaffolding and ladder installations, vehicles, light-boxes, facers, raised lettering, Stainless steel plaques, cable systems, standoff systems, exterior and interior signs, banners, led wiring, vinyl application, window frosting and tinting,

• Operation & Maintenance of: Roland based cadet plus (1340mm wide) Digital Solvent Printer/ Cutter; Summa plotter/ Vinyl Cutter and 3 PC’s on a LAN.

- Achievements: I was instrumental in helping set up effective job dockets, relocating and streamlining an inefficient signshop into a productive signage workshop, and stepping up production levels enough to take on a further three employees.

HEAD GRAPHIC DESIGNER, DESKTOP PUBLISHER, SIGN MAKER

• Graphic designer - Corel Draw, for digital printing. Casmate – Pro, for Vinyl cutter. (Freehand MX and Photo shop CS2 as well)

• Design: all aspects of signage and branding.

• Advertising advice: Describing and advising clients on branding practices, layouts, possible mediums, colours, materials and positioning of signage materials. To help best reach their customers.

• Customer Care: Ensuring output meets with customer approval, dealing with complaints and ensuring all requests are tendered to.

• Reception: Deliveries, Invoicing and answering customer queries.

• Operation & Maintenance of: Roland SP530, Roland SP730- Digital Solvent Printer/ Cutter; Graphtec 2400 plotter/ Vinyl Cutter and 3 PC’s on a LAN.

- Achievements: Replaced 2 graphic designers in the first three months and more than doubled cut vinyl output within 6 months; Implemented a “JOB CARD” system to streamline and co-ordinate: rep- design- workshop -reception communication. In the second year took on responsibility for the new printer (Roland SP530) simultaneously taking on a full colour design position. Production on digital print media increased rapidly and steadily leading to an upgrade (Roland SP730), which culminated in myself operating both vinyl cutter and digital printer and training junior graphic design candidates.
