Brian's company specialises in the supply of project and change management services. Brian bids for and delivers contracts either individually or in consortia with other consultancies which can provide appropriate complementary skills and experience. During the past 14 years Brian has lead assignments and provided hands-on support to clients including:

Department of Health:

• National Programme Manager for the Positively Diverse Programme: management and coordination of this development programme to devise and pilot a new change management and project management methodology for workforce equality and diversity in the NHS. This involved managing staff from 35+ NHS Trusts and Health Authorities across the country on behalf of the Department of Health.

• Design and delivery of the “train-the-trainers” programme for the Positively Diverse methodology.

• National Programme Manager for the NHS Strategic Tracing Service, involving the piloting of new and integrated software at 5 test sites in England and Wales, management of, and negotiation with, software suppliers.

• Programme Manager for the Integrated Clinical Workstation (ICWS) Programme, involving the development of prototype systems at 6 NHS sites, supplier management, development of the IT Business Case and training strategies.

NHS Employers:

• Project Manager for various national programmes working with government departments, NHS organisations, higher education institutions and other stakeholder organisations around staff training, recruitment and retention and workforce planning for healthcare services.

• National Programme Manager for the Community Information Systems Programme (CISP), involving the development of prototype and operational IT systems to support NHS community healthcare providers.

• Various project management and IT strategic study assignments

• Systems analysis and project management of small teams developing personnel and power station systems.

• Systems analysis, design and development of mainframe systems to support information retrieval of Film and Videotape Library artefacts.

• Systems analysis and programming of mainframe and mini systems to support document and information retrieval.
