After graduating from the University of Salford - 1st Class Hons Degree in Computer Science I worked for ICL as a developer in their High Performance Systems devision in Manachester. After 2 years I moved internally to work at ICL Pathway - the Post Office Automation PPI. Starting as a system integrator, then through development to team leader where I lead a team of up to 15 developers producing the EPOS system.
In 2000 I moved to Dublin contracting for Prudential. I was initially employed on a three month contract to design a tax caluculation system for a product launch into the French market. I have been renewed there for the majority of 6 years, with a 6 month contract at Fidelity, taking on various technical lead and design roles within Prudential and Capita as it was after the take over. I was the IT porject manager on 3 projects, responsible for the technical lead and guidance of the developers and responsible for producing time/cost analysis and reporting functions.
