Since 1957 I have worked in the printing industry, typesetting and proofreading, I spent two years working at a large book printers on the outskirts of Manchester proofreading. Then in 1970 I worked at a provincial newspaper, before going to work on a national newspaper, before being made redundant in 1986. After that I worked abroad for four years at a general printers. Coming back to England I started work at the David Lewis Centre for Epilepsy teaching young adults with severe epilepsy skills in desktop publishing and general printing.
