Following my permanent relocation to the UK, volunteering with organizations dedicated to tackling illness and poverty gave me the opportunity to get involved in something different, offering my time, skills, and experience and contributing in various ways towards meeting targets.
In parallel, I allowed myself some time to get acquainted with the UK economy, especially the market for professional IT services, while also undertaking some studies and report-writing work as a Internet-based freelancer. Typical topics included credit-card security and information system architecture.
