Regional Data Analyst
The Audit Commission is at the forefront of delivering high quality, independent audit of public services to assist the government in meeting its change agenda for those services. My role included
• Supporting front line audit and specialist staff and reporting via line manager to senior regional directorate. My remit generally included design, implementation, analysis and presentation of results in a suitable format for the target audience.
• Creating bespoke software tools for compilation and analysis of large quantities of data and carrying out that work on a local, regional and national level as required
• Working to tight deadlines and often on short notice whilst maintaining high standards of quality and rigour
• A large part of this role was assimilating, managing and interpreting large amounts of data from external clients to assist in the development of new working practice and improving quality/delivery of audit reporting to public sector bodies.
