General Background

Management, IT and Business Systems professional with line management experience with a number of successful IT selection and implementation projects completed as both an employee and independent consultant.

Systems analysis, to determine, client requirement, current process strengths and weaknesses, change management needs. Advise on alternate systems available, process improvement and the management of the changes that will occur if a revised or new system is implemented.

Practical experience of managing projects of various sizes and durations, these have covered the selection and subsequent implementation of IT solutions, for manufacturing and service businesses. Also the specification and project management of the development of bespoke software to meet specific client needs.

Since 1993 I have been an accredited Business Counsellor offering business planning and access to funding advice, and also specialist IT counselling. This service has been provided through a number of Business Links and their agents.

1988 - 1989

Radius Systems - Software Development Manager - production systems. Analysis of an existing software package and preparation of recommendations for the redevelopment of the package to more closely meet the requirements of industry.

1986 - 1988

English Grains - Computer Systems Manager. Analysis and definition of requirements for intersite computer communications and the implementation of appropriate systems.

Achievements

Successfully undertaken a number of project management assignments to implement systems that have been selected as part of a specification and selection process, and also helped start up and young businesses to prepare business plans that have supported funding applications.
