Anritsu Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers of telecom test systems. The group that I am working with provides complete test solution (hardware and software) for testing of third generation (GERAN and UMTS) mobile terminals.
• Responsible for Integration, Verification and release of Anritsu’s Protocol test system.
• Streamlined the development process for the team, which includes requirement analysis, change management, Verification and Validation.
• Changes introduced have resulted in a significant reduction in slippage of defects to customers.

Kanbay software is a software consultancy based in India, providing software development solutions for Finance and banking customers.
• Was working as a test manager, responsible for Verification and Quality assurance of trading applications for Morgan Stanley Investments, a leading investment management client.
• Setup a Verification and test automation team of 15 engineers. Total annual revenue of 60,000 USD.
• Developed excellent relationship with the client’s development teams and obtained new business engagements.

Proving process Consultancy:
• This project involved analyzing the gaps in Verification process followed by the system proving team and suggesting improvements.
• Process improvements resulted in an increase in test coverage by 17%.

System Proving of Softswitch:
• Setup and motivated a Verification team of 10 engineers to work with client’s system proving team to enhance the System Verification tests.
• Team performance led to an increase in customer confidence and further projects were entrusted to us.

System Proving of Intelligent Network:
• Planned and coordinated the setup of an Offshore Verification team for the client at Wipro’s development centre in India.
• Setup processes for communication and effective working of geographically split team.
• Achieved a saving of over £40,000 per annum by sharing testing lab resources between the teams in India and UK.

• Worked as a test manager for offshore projects carried out for Avaya INC. at Wipro’s development centre in India.
• Setup and managed an offshore testing facility consisting of enterprise voice systems (Avaya voice switches), data networking devices and test equipment.

• I have worked on the following projects at Wipro that were not for a specific customer. Some of these projects were internal IPR development and were later sold as products or services to telecom vendors.
• Preparation of a test framework and demonstration test scenarios for UMTS Iu layer protocols (IuPS and IuCS).
• Preparation of automated test suits for protocol testing using C/C++ and TCL.
• Carried out Verification and Validation for SIP stack developed in Wipro and IPR. This was later ported successfully onto Softswitch gateway of Nortel network U.S.

Was working with Hughes telecom LTD (A joint venture between Hughes Electronics Corporation US and Ispat Industries India Ltd. - This Company is the license holder for providing basic telephony services in the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka in India). The network with which I was working comprised of two PSTN switches NEC NEAX 61 (and Lucent 5ESS. The Wireless in Local Loop equipment that we were using was the AirReach product from Hughes Network Systems, US. Which works in the 800MHz spectrum, using IS-54 (TDMA) standard.
