• Managed software sales team in EMEA and attained or exceeded goals. In 2004 achieved 130% of annual target, over $130 million.
• Defined and implemented the software partner strategy for the recruitment and management of systems integrators and software distributors representing 100 partner organisations. Third party sales accounted for 45% of the software business.
• Recruited and developed a sales team to focus on software maintenance services and generated $25million of additional revenue annually.
• Co-ordinated change within the company to move the organisation from being hardware focused to solutions selling using software as the leverage point. This enabled Sun offer a much better business proposition to its customers based on solutions not just product.
• Created a specialist OEM software team and negotiated strategic, multi million dollar OEM agreements with Ericsson, Alcatel, Nokia and Comverse. Developed a new market for Sun. OEM software sales represented 15% of the software business.
• Introduced and managed Software Product Management team of 20 specialists to support the account teams sell software.
• Launched new software products known as the Java Enterprise System and generated $20million within the first year. EMEA was the most successful region.
• Contributed at a senior director level to the overall development of the company in EMEA.

Netdynamics was a US start-up company which developed an Application Server. The role was to develop and manage EMEA operations

• Grew software and services revenue from $0 to $4.5 million in 18 months.
• Managed P&L within $1million expense budget for EMEA
• Recruited and managed the team of 15 people for sales, marketing, technical sales/support/services and administration.
• Negotiated contracts worth £300,000 to $1 million with Leonia Bank – Finland, Commerzebank – Germany, Glaxo Wellcome – UK, Renault – France.
• Established Netdynamics as the market leader for Application Server software in EMEA.
• Developed a network of 30 distributors, resellers and system integrators to gain maximum sales coverage throughout EMEA
