CV

A design consultancy which is committed to delivering high quality design solutions to its clients. We believe in constantly developing our own creative skills and academic understanding of what we do. To ensure that all our clients get the best from their experiences with 2h we strive to practise within the 10 culture points listed below.

Respect: We conduct our business in a way which generates respect from its clients both for its design solutions and the ability to deliver the projects in an efficient, friendly and excellent way.

Long Term Business: We enter every project with a view to turning the prospect into a long term business relationship. By delivering an excellent solution customers will want to return with future business.

Involvement: We become involved with every project it undertakes rather than just working on them. The best design solutions come from a deep understanding of the brief, the design problem to be solved and the client .

Associates: We have defined core skills, some projects require expertise from outside of this skills set. We use business associates who strive for the same level of excellence and attitude. Clients can be assured that if we bring in an expert from outside the company that they will deliver to the same standard they would expect from us.

Transparency: We believe in sharing information within the organisation and with clients. To build trust our clients are kept informed at every stage of the project - whether good news or bad.

Productive not busy: We strive to maintain productivity at the highest level with compromising creativity. This does not only deliver projects on time or early but it delivers value-for-money to our clients.

Technology: The creative industries are rooted in new media technology for both delivery and connectivity to its clients. We are committed to use the best of the new technologies and maintain a training programme to get the best from them to help us deliver our service.

Approachable: We believe the best way to gain understanding of the client and project is to remain approachable and friendly. This builds trust and helps to ensure no barriers to communication occur. It also means that a client will feel they can be more open in expressing their opinions and ideas without inhibition allowing to feel they are a part of the design process and feel they are part of the solution.

Development: We strive to develop business and creative skills always pushing our own boundaries and expanding our horizons. Only by learning do we develop our skills.

Fun: You are a long time working you should be able to enjoy it. We believe in rewarding excellence within the company both financially and by creating an enjoyable creative environment which enthuses the people we work with in the company and the clients we work with for.

Employment History

(Apr 1998 & ongoing)

Partner/Design

London then York

In April 1998 I set up my own design consultancy and have continued to build this to the present day. I work with 2 major market sectors; design for the national and international trade book and private press publishing industry and design for marketing. The experience of organisating information, which is required to make a good book, is a highly transferable skill when it comes to both the design of marketing material whether for print or for the web. I do not code the sites I design myself but work with a coding company who implements my designs into usable and accessible websites.

Please click through to my website to see some of the projects we have worked on and to find out what Kirk Douglas thought of the service.
