CV

I am generalist marketing with a bias toward communications. I am very objective driven; objectives that are concrete and measurable. My marketing career has covered both IT hardware and software, public sector and professional services as well as blue chip organisations and has been right across the full marketing mix.

I have to some extent I have specialised in taking on roles within organisations where no specific marketing department has existed, creating marketing strategies from scratch as well as putting in place the infrastructure to deliver the strategy; from internal processes and agency selection, through staffing and policies. My positive can-do attitude and a willingness to get stuck in and get my hands dirty if necessary makes an ideal skill-set for this type of work. In addition, as a freelancer I have developed the ability to quickly understand new markets and their specific issues and then to develop successful marketing.

Although I arrived at marketing via a technical sale support route I did in the mid-90’s formalised my work experience with by taking the CIM Diploma gaining credit pass in communications.

Results of a Psychometric Test
Peter is an enthusiastic self motivated person; a natural leader who is results driven and uses influence and persuasion to reach his objectives. A good communicator he has a generous and sympathetic approach and performs best when given the authority to act independently and without referral. Self assured he is venturesome in his approach being innovative and unconventional (at times) with his solutions.
