Working as freelance graphic designer. Work has included TV advertising and CG Animation and graphics as well as the usual bread-and-butter graphic design and artwork.

First started to help set up their new digital repro department. Was promoted after a short while to Prepress Manager. I was promoted 3 years ago to the position of IT Manager, which encompassed not only looking after the Prepress systems, but my brief also included writing software to improve production, oveseeing the prepress–press interface, looking into new technology to improve system performance, looking into new MIS systems, the setting up of online services as well as generally looking after all computers in the company and their warehousing facility.

This company was originally a typesetting house.After I was set on as Systems Manager, due to the fact that they had one of the new, at that time, drum imagesetters (which allowed film to be produced with perfect register) I persuaded the management to look for business in the colour repro market.They agreed and have built up a very successful business based on this move away from typesetting.With my skills and knowledge I was instrumental in making this possible.

Worked as a typesetter for this company. Persuaded them to move on to Macintoshes as soon as they were out.They then transformed the business away from typesetting to a bureau service.

Set up a small typesetting company. Although the company was successful I decided to end it due to family commitments.

Initially worked as a paste-up artist. Moved over to typesetting.

This company specialised in process and machine engraving. Produced both design and artwork for the process engraving side of things.Was also involved in camera work and screen printing.
