CV
I am a journalist, editor, and public relations manager who has worked in Europe and the UK for most of the past 20 years. I specialise in technology and finance, and I have long experience in understanding the special conditions in which govern these areas in the Old World and in the new markets of Central and Eastern Europe.
My career has been divided between electronic and print journalism, and the management of corporate public relations projects. In the former role, I have reached a point of culmination in my current position with British Publishers Ltd. Where I launched and directed three magazines and electronic newsletters, all of which now have a large educated readership, and substantial advertising support. It has been the best chance to validate the experience I had gained at The Times, Time Magazine, Business Week, and Euromoney, as well as at more specialised publications.
As a Web site editor, I have spent 4 years at KPMG, and two years at IBM, in each case building international communications channels, working with clients and senior management, and preparing a wide variety of materials from speeches to project documentation, and managing editorial teams including freelancers, staff from other departments, and technical personnel.
In each role, I have found that the most salient skills include the ability to make complex subjects accessible to an educated audience, to manage people without imposing my own views on them, and to ensure the accuracy and quality of the materials I am responsible for.
My key personal goals are to make a visible difference, use my creativity and expression, be challenged by what I do and the people I encounter, guide others and share my love of life. I am independent, and a conceptual thinker with a strong results drive. I have high integrity, am a good listener and have good interpersonal skills and a sense of humour.
