Present in 14 cities across India, the Education Times emerged as the country's Number 1 English supplement in the National Research Survey 2005 – the official Indian newspaper readership survey.


EDITORIAL
➔ Planning the editorial brief (including the look and feel) of the paper on a national level;editing stories and ensuring quality control of edit as well as design;
➔ Conceptualising and editing special magazines and special supplements under the Education Times header - in conjunction with the marketing and sales teams;
➔ Maintaining existing readers and cultivating fresh ones through print, online and ground events;
➔ Conceptualising and setting up the Education Times website so as to build a strong reader base in the online community;
➔ Devising editorial and marketing strategies to ensure that the supplement stayed ahead of competition;
➔ Official representative of the Indian government to Canada – during a week-long touring of the country's educational system in the year 2005. The visit had been organised by the Canadian government to showcase its educational system to the world. Other representatives included senior journalists from the UK, Germany, Austria, Brazil, Iran and Malaysia.

➔ Devising marketing and edit-related strategies to retain readership and increase brand loyalty among readers;

EDITORIAL
➔ Planning the mood and content of individual shows as well as formulating news policies and editorial guidelines and ensuring that the station was always current and up-to-date with city news and events;
➔ Producer – breakfast show Hello Mumbai. Planning the show brief, working on daily content; lining up celebrities interviews (Bollywood stars, cricketers, politicians etc) as well as maintaining interactivity;
➔ Celebrity management. Arranging interviews with some of India’s hottest stars (Bollywood stars, cricketers, politicians etc) for the channel’s breakfast and evening rush hour shows;
➔ Conceptualising and implementing on-air and off-line revenue generating activities and events (on-air specials, capsules, shows and ground events) on a regular basis to increase profitability and meet sales targets;
➔ Ensuring that the station's website was regularly updated and kept in line with the station's on-air image;
➔ Setting up the content desk and content management systems for numerous Radio Mirchi branches across India.


MARKETING & COMMUNICATION
➔ Devising and leading weekly and monthly specials (on-air as well as ground events) in conjunction with the marketing and sales teams so as to improve the station's brand image and attract listeners to the weaker segments of the channel;
➔ Ideating for and implementing client briefs and ensuring that all on-air specials were saleable as well as kept in line with the brand image;
➔ In charge of communication and coordination with The Times of India and assuring constant channel promotion in the newspaper. Devising ways to constantly leverage The Times of India' for maximum brand exposure;
➔ Writing brand promotion and press notes for the channel and its various shows and events on a regular basis, as well as writing press articles based on market surveys and research data;
➔ Internal communication (co-ordination through news-letters and emails between marketing, sales, programming) and public relations activities for the external media.

EDITORIAL

➔ Revamping the editorial and design of several sections (including music and movies) to improve brand association;

- Diploma in mass communication from St. Xavier’s College of Communication, Mumbai, India 
- Computer Knowledge: A fairly good knowledge of Quark Express under the Windows platform. Have also handled page designing and editing of news and features copies. Since I have worked with a dotcom, I am also comfortable with technology and have a fir understanding of backend systems and database.
- Fairly good understanding of the RCS Radio Control System: A computerised platform that many Radio stations and television channels (including Channel [V] and Radio Mirchi) operate upon.
