• Finance and Logistics responsibility for worldwide operations with the key focus on the recovery in sales and profit post-Asian crisis. Sales returned to more than US $1.8 billion in 2000, producing healthy operating profits. Recovered from material losses in 1998.
• Lead role in the evaluation and purchase by LVMH of the Miami Cruiseline Company in January 2000, the world leader in on-board retailing to the cruise industry, covering over 70% of the shipping fleet, with sales of US $400 million. Converted to operating company under DFS.

• Restructured and rationalized the separate country operations into one Asia Group due to the Asian economic crisis. Successfully completed restructuring initiative by mid-1988, resulting in significantly reduced overhead, a new group merchandise structure in HK, introduction of a full accounting shared services facility in Singapore, and common marketing and IT support functions.
• Fully integrated new business venture in Korea and evaluated potential joint ventures in Malaysia and the Philippines, including negotiation of banking lines for US $250 million.
