CV

I have recently set up my own media organisation to encompass these projects on a freelance basis and to expand into new publishing activities - online and in print. This has included producing and managing sites for athletes who competed at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, and fulfilling photographic assignments.

Editor

Wimbledon

Redesigned, repositioned and reinvigorated this long established monthly athletics magazine. A thoroughly professional approach to business management, a modern redesign, attention to the needs of readers and an emphasis on excellence has resulted in a tripling of turnover and an increase in paid circulation by over 60% in five years.
This has been achieved by attention to detail from the bottom-up - from forming a clear brand identity, quality writing and photography, developing a productive relationships with suppliers, forming a world-wide network of contributors - right through to setting up systems for distribution and subscription administration.
My role in promoting athletics has been recognised internationally: I have been appointed a specialist correspondent for IAAF and to be a recipient of a media grant from the Monaco-based International Athletics Foundation.
I also specified, launched and managed the magazine’s website to re-enforce the brand and be a further source of news and information. This dynamic, news oriented site is maintained by a content management solution, offering syndicated news feeds and other community building facilities, plus e-commerce facilities for selling the magazine online.
