Trained by the British Standards Institution, preparing and implementing ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems UK-wide including Internal Audits for continual improvement and readying clients for ISO 9001:2000 certification by UKAS accredited certification bodies such as the British Standards Institution. Also provide training, support and internal audit function for ISO 9001:2000 projects to organisations in varied sectors. I have achieved 3 implementations & 3 UKAS accredited certifications to date including performing regular internal audits towards continual assessments by UKAS accredited certification bodies such as the British Standards Institution.

In the software house environment, supported the managing director and managed customer/supplier relationships, wrote audit processes for testing ICT systems, tested the ICT systems and wrote business systems user guides and proposals. Also advised client on work needed for ISO9001:2000 certification.

Provided change management services to two London Call centres. Managed payroll system upgrade project enabling a Union-promised pay rise for 10,000 nurses on time and resolving personnel-conflict issues at the same time ! Worked collaboratively with software suppliers, Infrastructure provision companies and client staff and brought one of the centres to “stable” state. Co-ordinated regular, timely, accurate delivery of Data warehouse reports to senior management across 2 sites. Technologies used were SQL-Server and Business Objects.

Provided Project Management Support and E-Business Consultancy services to various Small Medium Enterprises.

Worked collaboratively with Product suppliers, Service provision companies and Client staff to enable introduction of controlled content management solutions. Technologies used were XML and Broadvision tools such as 1-2-1 publishing.

Managed the User Acceptance Testing and System Testing stages of the Wealth Management project. Worked collaboratively with external Design agencies, Outsourced company staff, Contractors and Client staff to ensure quality (“fit-for-purpose”) throughout the delivery process. Technologies used were UML, OO, ATG-Java and PVCS.

Managed the implementation of a Financial Internet site for a city finance company. Liaised with and managed 4 different parties under strict timescales, resources and budgets to successfully deliver the 1st phase of the web site. Used Prince 2 for tight control of tasks and timescales in a Matrix resource management environment. Technical environment comprised EJB, JSP, JavaScript, HTML and Flash.

The project’s chief aim was to identify and define differences in requirements between different rail zones for an existing Incident Management System. Liaised with current system users and to-be users, performed analysis and defined the different sets of requirements that needed to be satisfied for the Incident Management System to be implemented in different zones. Used analysis, documentation and people skills to achieve success.

Led a team of 8 and implemented an enhanced Chemical Reagent Management System for the Chemist community of about 400, deriving immediate business benefits. Practised DSDM/RAD methodology for producing User requirements specification and Implementation. Used Prince2 for documentation templates and procedures. Technical environment comprised Oracle and Web-based E-procurement packages.

Initially worked as a software engineer on railway technical systems then moved into business systems analysis consisting of writing requirements specifications and “online help” systems for geographical information systems specific to the rail industry. Project management support using MS-Project and PRINCE2 was the next role involving shadowing and supporting project managers on various rail projects including implementing and supporting a Maintenance Auditing and Scheduling System (MASS) for rail depots throughout the U.K.
