• Form completion wizards for GP clinical information system.

In this role I worked with NHS trusts across England and Wales to help them review their risk management systems for incident reporting, and map the dataset definitions, enabling them to connect and submit data electronically to the National Reporting and Learning System.

Achievements
• Exceeded targets for connecting trusts to the National Reporting and Learning System.
• Developed knowledge base productivity tools using Excel VBA.

In this role I provided operational management to Children’s Services, with particular responsibility for administration, risk management, and outpatient’s activities. This involved budget control, responsibility for meeting government targets, and service development initiatives across the service.

Achievements
• Improvements to outpatient administration systems resulting in better use of information for decision making and monitoring of performance against internal and external targets.
• Transfer of outpatient booking systems to ‘partial booking’ resulting in increased choice for patients and improved performance against several measures.

In this role I provided support to teams within the organisation, and ultimately to 3 three Primary Care Trusts as well, in support of the Clinical Governance agenda. This involved facilitating clinical audit and improvement projects, and providing training across clinical effectiveness and management disciplines.

Achievements
• Development and delivery of training courses in clinical audit and management related subjects.
• Development of project management practice and systems within the Clinical Effectiveness team.
• Development of systems and tools using Excel VBA.

In this role I provided patient centred support to clients in both hospital and community settings.

This was a part time role teaching first aid and related courses. It also involved some course development work in the disaster management area.

In this role I was responsible for managing quality systems and documentation for the organisation and providing support for improvement initiatives at a corporate level and within teams. This involved managing internal and external quality audit programmes, providing policy advice to senior management, and providing facilitation and process tools to improvement teams.

Achievements
• Established and developed the Corporate Quality Coordinator role.
• Achieved and maintained ISO 9001 Certification for a research and development organisation of 400 people across three sites.
• Participated in a team expanding quality systems for ISO 14001 Certification.
• Implemented the transition from a paper based quality manual to a fully electronic web based system supported by intranet features to support the quality management agenda.
• Facilitated a wide range of improvement teams.
• Established the concept of an intranet for communication and information sharing within the company.

In this role I provided an emergency response to urgent trauma and medical incidents, as well as more routine transfer work.

In this role I provided technical support to a wide range of research projects and commercial activities, particularly within the National Measurement Standards Laboratory. This was primarily centred on computing and electronic skills, but extended to a broad range of activities.
