Yealmpton, DevonStarted part time and then in 2000 trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and have run this as a full time business since then. I offer one to one hypnosis therapy and Past Life & Between Lives regression Workshops.
I designed my own website and I also design and print all my own promotional and advertising literature, including arranging talks and attending health fairs.
I have written professional articles for Boards and O-Sport magazines, and I have just self-published my first book for which I undertook all the editing etc.

Yealmpton, DevonI went into this cafe after it had just be bought by the farm shop. I opened it from scratch, provided an organic menu from the shop produce, ran it initially single-handedly providing hot and cold meals with a microwave and one ring camping stove! Eventually I received proper catering equipment and developed the menu further until I needed to take on staff. I got it up and running and transformed it into a successful, popular business.
The Kitley farm shop is now under new ownership. (Riverford)

Kitley Caves & Country Park, Yealmpton, DevonI ran this tourist attraction for 3 years and during that time I (personally) remodelled the small shop, and increased the produce sold by 200%. Despite falling visitor figures due to the estate owner's lack of understanding of the importance of an advertising campaign, I still increased the sales per head by 300%. I also introduced hot and cold food sales, with limited facilities, with the admiration of the local Health & safety officer whio didn't believe it could be done!
I initiated promotional activities including a drawing competiton within local schools.
This was the perfect job for me as I was left totally to my own devices. The owner came in once a week for the takings, an update on the week, and to drop off wages.

| I am a multi-skilled person who has tons of management experience in a variety of fields. I have been self-employed periodically since 1990 (incorporating many courses and part time jobs) whilst raising my family. Now they have gone to University, and I am responsible only for myself I am looking for a more reliable source of income. I am happiest when working on my own, or when leading a team, where I can use my own initiative, and I thrive when I have responsibility. I am used to interviewing, hiring, and training individuals in a variety of professions, including the retail, catering and tourist industries. Ideally my job must be; interesting, varied in the duties, creative, involve liasing with different people, a friendly environment; the opportunity to move outside the office. I run workshops on Saturdays, so a Monday-Friday post would be ideal, however I can be flexible if you can! |
